The English Language Institute (ELI) offers a variety of courses to students from a high beginner to an advanced level of English language proficiency. These courses are suitable for students who wish to improve their English language ability for academic, professional, and social purposes.

The Intensive Program fulfills the United States Immigration Services visa requirement for full-time study of English. The ELI is authorized to issue I-20s to full-time students who meet all the requirements.

Part-time study is available to eligible students.  Part-time students may choose from Intensive or non-Intensive courses as offered in each session’s part-time course catalog.

Manhattanville College is located on a beautiful 100-acre campus in suburban Westchester County, an area that is the home to major corporations (IBM, MasterCard, PepsiCo), art centers, historic sites, shopping, and many recreational facilities. Manhattanville’s friendly, small college atmosphere attracts students from across the U.S. and more than 70 nations.

The excitement and cultural attractions of New York City are only a 30-minute train ride away.
