Manhattanville Alumni Coaching (MAC)
The Manhattanville Alumni Coaching (MAC) Program is now in its third year and growing. This year, 23 new teachers and 9 experienced Manhattanville alumni teacher/coaches are participating. Coaches and new teachers are matched according to area of certification. New teachers are benefiting from the insight and wisdom experienced teachers have to offer. Our experienced teacher/coaches, while helping the new teachers develop their own teaching skills and cope with challenges, find that the coaching relationship enhances their teaching skills and helps them become even better teachers. At the three meetings held during the year, teachers and coaches have the opportunity to network and share their experiences in an informal, supportive atmosphere.
