Daytime Masters Program
Day Start
Manhattanville College’s renowned School of Education is offering classes designed with the stay-at-home parent in mind. Our Day Start Program lets you take classes at times that are most convenient for you – during the school day. Classes lead to a Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT), New York State Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), are NCATE accredited, and meet all Association of Childhood Education International (ACEI) standards.
This program includes 12 courses and a student teaching experience. Students’ individual progress through the program is flexible, though many finish in two to three years. A special innovation of the program is that you will have the opportunity to study the teaching of elementary school science and social studies in our lab school settings.
EDU 5112/13 (Thursdays at 9:30-12:00) meets in the lobby of the George Washington School, 100 Orchard Street, White Plains, NY.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started — at our July Information Meeting! Our Day Start Program is a new start for you. Call the School of Education Graduate Admissions office at 914-323-5142 or email edschool@mville.edu. Be sure to tell the counselor you are interested in the Day Start Program.
