David Neeleman Leads Ethics Panel

Crisis Communications: Surviving the Perfect Storm and Rebuilding Public Trust

11.12.2007

Crisis management is no stranger to jetBlue chairman, David Neeleman, scheduled to speak at Manhattanville College’s panel discussion on Monday, November 12th.

This event, sponsored by Center for Ethics and the Connecticut/Westchester Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute, aims to teach students, faculty and the community about “Crisis Communications: Surviving the Perfect Storm and Rebuilding Public Trust.” Neeleman, aside from founding and heading up jetBlue, is also a husband and father of nine children, so he is sensitive to family needs, even in times of crisis.

Before founding jetBlue in 2000, Neeleman was an integral part of numerous airline and travel companies, including his role as a member of the executive planning committee of current competitor, Southwest Airlines. As a seasoned veteran for crisis control, David Neeleman is just one of many expert guests to speak at the college.

The panel discussion is to be held in Manhattanville’s Reid Castle on Monday, November 12, beginning at 5:45pm, after which a cocktail reception will follow. There is no charge for Master of Science students.  For all community guests there is a fee of $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Please RSVP. If you would like more information or would like to register, please contact Graduate and Professional Studies at (914) 323-5300 or graduatestudies@manhattanville.edu.
