Center for Inclusion
The Center for Inclusion is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all identities and communities on our campus.
We strive to empower and support every student, faculty, and staff as they achieve their goals of cultivating culturally competent agencies by providing resources and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our mission is to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our institution and the broader Manhattanville community. The Center for Inclusion (CFI) believes that everyone deserves respect and equal opportunities, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we aim to create a more just and inclusive society where everyone can thrive.
CFI provides programming, workshops, and training to the larger Manhattanville community. This allows the fostering and support required in the development of self-awareness, advocacy, educational growth and understanding of different cultures, experiences, identities, and opinions.
Where We Are Today
The Center for Inclusion continuously supports members of underrepresented communities, such as, but not limited to, LGBTQIA+ communities, Black and African American communities, Hispanic and Latino/a/x communities, and women. CFI is committed to advocating for targeted and oppressed populations on and off campus. We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to think beyond being an active ally and an accomplice and towards becoming a co-conspirator. A co-conspirator is unapologetically willing to work and advocate for underrepresented communities while committing to hearing and learning from the lived experience of others.
