Community Life and Residence Services at Manhattanville University is an integral part of the educational program and academic support services of the institution. Far more than simply housing and roommate requests — we strive to create a dynamic living environment in which all students are comfortable and able to fully develop as individuals.
The Department of Campus Safety and Security has one overriding goal — to provide a safe and working community for all students, staff, and faculty, so that the community can pursue their goals and objectives.
Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a safe, confidential place where students receive comprehensive, individualized care. SHAC prioritizes the physical and emotional wellness of our students and the campus community.
We operate under an interdisciplinary model of care and approach the physical and emotional wellness of our students in a holistic and culturally sensitive way. Our licensed providers work as a team and carefully consider the interplay between one’s emotional and physical well-being. We employ a student-focused approach and our staff are dedicated to meeting the ever-changing needs of a diverse student body.
The Center for Student Accessibility partners with students to empower them to take ownership of their University journey. By modeling problem-solving strategies, our staff helps to promote self-determination and self-advocacy skills in order to enhance students' abilities to use their own strengths to address challenges. These are skills students will carry with them beyond their years at Manhattanville.
The Center also strives to increase positive dialogue surrounding disabilities, promoting the "people first" approach and communicating the message that disability is an integral part of diversity. In this spirit, the Center for Student Accessibility actively seeks to create an environment that embraces all students.
Manhattanville enrolls students in one of three academic schools: Arts & Sciences, Education, or Nursing and Health Sciences. We offer services that include extra support for students study for a class, write a paper, or search for internships, and a team of academic professionals that are dedicated to seeing our students succeed.
