Greetings from President Sánchez!

Dear Manhattanville College Faculty and Staff,

I hope you are all enjoying the summer months and taking some well-deserved time off. As I write to you today as the newly appointed President of Manhattanville College, I am overwhelmed with excitement and enthusiasm about joining this extraordinary community of scholars and dedicated professionals.

I am honored to have been chosen to lead this institution into its next chapter of growth and achievement. I was drawn to Manhattanville’s mission and rich history of academic excellence, commitment to social justice, and deep-rooted sense of community.

As an educator, administrator, and lifelong advocate for higher education, I have always believed in the transformative power of learning. It is a tremendous privilege to be part of a community that shares this belief and fosters an environment where students are inspired to develop their strengths, talents, and passions, while engaging in complex and diverse perspectives, as they become compassionate leaders of tomorrow.

Each of you – the talented faculty and staff at Manhattanville – make up the heart and backbone of this institution, and I am humbled to begin working alongside such a dedicated and accomplished group of individuals. Your unwavering commitment to student success, innovative teaching practices, and the Manhattanville mission is commendable. I look forward to collaborating with each of you, learning from your expertise, and supporting our collective efforts to elevate this storied institution.

In the coming months, I intend to immerse myself in Manhattanville, Westchester, and the region, seeking opportunities to connect with students, faculty, staff, and key external constituents. I am eager to join you in open dialogues, hear your perspectives, and understand the challenges and aspirations of our campus community.

It is a privilege and an honor to serve as your President, and I am committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment where every member of the Manhattanville community can thrive. I am confident that together we will continue transforming lives through education, deepen our impact on society, and empower our students to make a difference in the world.

I am thrilled to join you on this incredible journey and look forward to meeting each of you personally in the coming weeks.
