Joanne Hwang

Joanne Hwang is a psychologist of Korean descent, born and raised in the Midwest, who moved to NYC to attend college and later to earn a doctoral degree in psychology. Joanne completed her internship with Queens Children's Psychiatric Center and has worked in various mental health settings, including outpatient, inpatient and college counseling centers providing direct care as well as supervision of psychology trainees. Clinical areas of interest include acculturation, relationships, adjustment to life transitions and mindfulness based stress reduction. Joanne joined the Counseling Center in 2017.
