Brownson Hall, A10

Before joining Manhattanville University in 2013, Dr. Munson was a member of the research staff at IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Center for fifteen years. There he worked in a variety of domains, including collaboration systems, digital rights management, location-based services, telematics systems, and, most recently, cloud computing. Before he was a computer scientist, he was a mechanical engineer and worked on simulation of physical systems, such as aircraft engines. While he is first and foremost a technologist, Dr. Munson relishes the opportunities the University offers for synthesis of computation and the liberal arts. He teaches computer programming, database systems, data science, and algorithms.
