Lauren Raubaugh
Dr. Lauren Raubaugh is a Clinical Assistant Professor of TESOL/Foreign Languages/Bilingual Education in the department of Curriculum & Instruction at Manhattanville University, Program Director, and a Professional Development School (PDS) liaison. Prior to joining Manhattanville, she spent nine years teaching ESL/EFL to students of all ages and proficiency levels in the United States, Ecuador, China, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Dr. Raubaugh has presented at numerous conferences and published articles for TESOL Journal (2019), the Florida Journal of Educational Research (FERA; 2019), and The Journal of Language Identity & Education (JLIE, 2021). Her principal research interests include culturally responsive practice and pedagogy, improving pre-service and in-service teacher PD, and action research with practical implications for innovative teaching strategies. Dr. Raubaugh holds a Ph.D. in Education (TESOL) from the University of Central Florida (UCF), an M.A. in TESOL from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and two B.A.s in English Literature and History from UMBC.
