According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), registered nurses (RNs) will see a 6% growth in employment over ten years by 2031. It’s becoming increasingly common for RNs to hold baccalaureate-level credentials, as they provide opportunities for increased responsibility and earning potential. For credentialed nurse practitioners and other nurse leaders, the BLS estimates 40% growth, significantly faster than the average for all occupations.

The Clinical Learning Laboratory provides students with a safe, innovative, and supportive environment to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required for professional healthcare practice. Designed to replicate real-world healthcare settings, the laboratory allows students to apply classroom learning through hands-on experiences before providing care in clinical environments.

Guided by the School's commitment to Adapt to Lead, Connect to Care, and Transform Lives, students engage in experiential learning that strengthens clinical judgment, technical proficiency, communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care. Using simulation technology, task trainers, and realistic patient-care scenarios, students practice essential assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, and clinical skills while developing the critical thinking necessary for today's complex healthcare environment.

The Clinical Learning Laboratory promotes active learning, interprofessional collaboration, and reflective practice, enabling students to build competence and confidence in a supportive setting. Through simulation, skill development, and faculty-guided debriefing, students learn to provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care while preparing to meet the evolving needs of individuals, families, and communities.
