Meet the Provost

 
Christine Dehne
 
Provost and Executive Vice President 

Christine Dehne, MFA

Christine Dehne is Provost and Executive Vice President at Manhattanville. Prior to her current role, she was Dean of the Manhattanville School of Arts and Sciences. Dehne was also Professor in the Department of Communication and Media, where she taught courses in video production, animation, and multimedia. Before coming to Manhattanville, Dehne taught at Harvard University, Emerson College, Brown University, and the University of West Florida. An active video and multimedia artist, Professor Dehne has shown her work in venues around the world, including shows in New York, Massachusetts, California, Tokyo, and Canada. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Tufts University, a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and a MFA from the University of Arizona.

Disclosures for Manhattanville University Programs that Lead to Licensure

Per U.S. Federal Regulations §668.14 and §668.43, and in compliance with SARA Policy Manual version 24.2, Manhattanville University provides the following disclosure related to the educational requirements for professional licensure and certification. 

Effective July 1, 2024, federal regulation requires institutions of higher education to make a determination whether a Title IV eligible academic program that leads to professional licensure or certification meets the educational requirements for licensure/certification in the U.S. state where the institution is located and the U.S. states where “distance education” students are located at the time of initial enrollment in the program, as well as U.S. states where the program is advertised as meeting such requirements, and if applicable, the U.S. state where students attest they intend to be licensed/certified. Enrolled students are required to update their permanent mailing addresses as soon as possible after moving.

Manhattanville's Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversees all campus human-subject research and study on behalf of the University.

Assessment and Accreditation

At Manhattanville, we support assessment activities for undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, doctoral degrees, and post-baccalaureate and graduate certificates, as well as General Education.

Instructional Technology

The Office of Instructional Technology offers assistance for faculty with a variety of technology platforms offered at Manhattanville to enhance the teaching and learning experience; these platforms feature an array of tools to allow faculty and students to collaborate, create, and communicate.

The Rose Institute, in partnership with Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES, offers courses through the Hudson River Teacher Center. Teachers may choose graduate or professional development  credit.
