Meet the Provost

 
Christine Dehne
 

 

 
Provost and Executive Vice President 

Christine Dehne, MFA

Christine Dehne is Provost and Executive Vice President at Manhattanville. Prior to her current role, she was Dean of the Manhattanville School of Arts and Sciences. Dehne was also Professor in the Department of Communication and Media, where she taught courses in video production, animation, and multimedia. Before coming to Manhattanville, Dehne taught at Harvard University, Emerson College, Brown University, and the University of West Florida. An active video and multimedia artist, Professor Dehne has shown her work in venues around the world, including shows in New York, Massachusetts, California, Tokyo, and Canada. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Tufts University, a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and a MFA from the University of Arizona.

The Office of Instructional Technology offers assistance for faculty with a variety of technology platforms offered at Manhattanville to enhance the teaching and learning experience; these platforms feature an array of tools to allow faculty and students to collaborate, create, and communicate.

The Registrar office has the responsibility to maintain timely and accurate records of the academic progress of all students while upholding the privacy and security of those records.

The Clark Center promotes the development of ethical and socially responsible undergraduate leaders for the global community involving the entire student body offering volunteering and service-learning opportunities.

Through partnerships with 19 schools in ten local school districts, our Changing Suburbs Institute® is preparing teacher candidates, providing faculty development, and giving students the best chance to succeed by helping their parents to become better advocates for their children’s education.

The Rose Institute, in partnership with Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES, offers courses through the Hudson River Teacher Center. Teachers may choose graduate or professional development  credit.
